I love capturing real moments in natural environments.
A single image is not what I’m about, but more so, what a sequence of images show and the story they tell when they are together. I love capturing real moments in natural environments and wherever possible I shoot in natural light. I’m pretty laid back & don’t force any moments that don’t happen naturally. If your uncomfortable, it shows… My aim? Is to keep you happy & comfortable… I’m not saying it won’t be awkward, it will be at times. Especially for the first few moments of shooting, but, once you get into it, it fly’s by. Before you know it, the session is done and your like ‘oh, is that it? That was easy’. I work from my home studio on the Central Coast. I shoot Nikon, have a heap of seriously heavy & expensive gear, its all the very technical and fancy kind. I am the lone ranger, sorry lone shooter, hang on, the sole photographer (ah thats better) at Brooke Evrard photography so while I sometimes have a second shooter or an assistant (aka my little brother or sister) its all me. I’ll shoot, unload, edit & deliver. I keep my costs competitive this way and who doesn’t want to save money?
Want to know about me at all, no? Don’t blame you, me either. Here’s a bit of a blurb in case your the only interested one. I like to run (not far & wide, just you know, around the block and stuff). I love long summer days, until it gets too hot & then all I can think of is snuggling up on a cold winter evening after a hot shower. I love my family & my home, like a lot, they ground me & support me through everything, they are awesome. I’m a little obsessed with Oreo chocolate, some say I have an addiction but I’m sure I can kick it. I love a good Netflix series, I’m also a die hard Game of Thrones & Nashville fan, I even dabble in a little Vikings. But my life isn’t all about television, I crave anything creative & am always looking for new ways to challenge myself. I’m pretty much always on these days, with a camera in one hand, the other at a keyboard and with a toddler wrapped around my legs. Life is full but it’s great! Where will you find me? With my feet in the sand, watching the waves or bush walking the coast with my family. (images by Angelica Sotelo)
